ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bombardier today announced significant progress on its new state–of–the–art service centre at the Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI). Construction has advanced, with the structural framework of the main building and hangar now rising. On track to open in the second half of 2026(1), this flagship facility represents a major milestone in Bombardier’s strategy to expand its global customer service and support network and deliver world–class maintenance capabilities in the Middle East.

Spanning approximately 120,000 sq. ft., the new service centre will feature a 55,000 sq. ft. hangar, a dedicated parts depot, and a full suite of maintenance services—including scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, aircraft modifications, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support. The facility will accommodate Bombardier’s newest addition, the Global 8000(2), alongside the entire Learjet, Challenger, and Global families. Once operational in 2026, the facility will create approximately 100 highly skilled jobs in Abu Dhabi, further reinforcing Bombardier’s presence in this key financial hub and complementing its existing Dubai Line Maintenance Station.

This development in Abu Dhabi is part of Bombardier’s global strategy to strengthen its customer support footprint and deliver world–class service. La construction a progressé, la structure du bâtiment principal et du hangar étant désormais en place. Dans les délais prévus pour son ouverture à la seconde moitié de 2026(1), cet établissement phare représente une étape majeure dans la stratégie d’expansion de Bombardier de son réseau mondial de service et de soutien à la clientèle et dans l’offre de capacités de maintenance de calibre mondial au Moyen–Orient.

L’établissement pourra accueillir le plus récent ajout au portefeuille de Bombardier – l’avion Global 8000(2), aux côtés des gammes d’avions complètes Learjet, Challenger et Global. Une fois opérationnel en 2026, le centre créera près de 100 emplois hautement qualifiés à Abu Dhabi, renforçant la présence de Bombardier dans ce pôle financier clé et complétant son escale de maintenance en ligne existante à Dubaï.

Ce projet à Abu Dhabi s’inscrit dans la stratégie mondiale de Bombardier qui vise à renforcer son empreinte de soutien à la clientèle et à livrer un service de calibre mondial. MONTRÉAL, April 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bombardier today announced the development of its new service facility at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), further extending its industry–leading maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities around the world. This new facility represents a strong partnership with Abu Dhabi Airports, leveraging their expertise and commitment to aviation excellence. The new facility, which will relocate from its originally announced location at the Abu Dhabi International Airport in 2022, further reinforces Bombardier’s commitment to serving its customers in this key market. The new location at the dynamic Al Bateen Executive Airport more effectively aligns with the needs of Bombardier customers.

At full capacity, the new OEM service facility is aiming to create approximately 100 aerospace jobs for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, further solidifying Bombardier’s presence in this important hub. Construction of the new facility is set to commence in the first half of 2025, with completion and operational readiness expected in the second half of 2026.

Bombardier’s newly located Abu Dhabi Service Facility of approximately 120,000 sq. ft., will feature a 55,000 sq. ft. hangar, a parts depot, and a complete suite of maintenance services including scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, aircraft modifications and aircraft on ground (AOG) capabilities.

The new facility will accommodate Bombardier’s Global 7500 aircraft, as well as the new Bombardier Global 8000, the company’s flagship of a new era, when it enters into service during the second half of 2025.(1) The new facility will provide the ultimate service solution for the region and the worldwide customers of Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft families.

The new Abu Dhabi Service facility further expands on Bombardier’s existing service footprint in the UAE. Bombardier Celebrates Milestone Challenger 3500 Aircraft Delivery, the 1,000th Bombardier Super-Midsize Business Jet to Take to the Skies

MONTRÉAL, Feb. 27, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bombardier is proud to announce the delivery of its 1,000th super–midsize aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the history of business aviation. This landmark achievement was celebrated with the delivery of a Challenger 3500 aircraft to JM Family Entreprises, a long–standing Bombardier customer, during a special ceremony at Bombardier’s Challenger delivery centre in Montréal.

During the celebration, the Bombardier team handed over the ceremonial keys of the Challenger 3500 aircraft to JM Family Enterprises and presented the aircraft to the more than 700 employees and invitees in attendance for this historic event.

Bombardier’s super–midsize aircraft have set the standard in the category since the original model’s entry–into–service, earning a reputation for industry–leading reliability and exceptional performance. Over the last two decades, these performance–leading Bombardier aircraft have been the best–selling jets in their class, and the Challenger 3500 jet is continuing the winning streak, leading its segment in 2024 as the most delivered jet.

The Challenger 3500 aircraft has rapidly become one of the most sought–after aircraft in its category, delivering the lowest direct operating costs, leading performance, unparalleled versatility and a state–of–the–art cabin. It offers numerous industry and category firsts, including the voice–controlled cabin, and seamlessly integrates several key features from the Bombardier’s ultra–long–range Global 7500 aircraft, notably the innovative Nuage seat.

The Challenger 3500 aircraft also carries an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), as does Bombardier’s entire portfolio of in–production aircraft. With this, Bombardier remains to this day the only business jet manufacturer to have published EPDs for its aircraft. Bombardier also covers all its operational flights with Sustainable Aviation Fuel through the Book–and–Claim system.
