China's Guizhou's green agricultural products make way into Persian Gulf

GUIYANG, China, Dec. 02, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The 2025 Middle East Organic & Natural Expo kicked off on Nov. 17 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, jointly organized 16 enterprises to present a collective exhibition featuring more than 100 types of distinctive agricultural products.

Guizhou is the only agricultural region in China that uniquely combines low latitude, high altitude, frequent cloud cover, and synchronized rainfall and heat. With mild winters, cool summers, and abundant precipitation, it offers unique natural conditions for producing high–quality crops.

In recent years, Guizhou has vigorously developed its specialty industries, with tea, roxburgh roses, and chili peppers now ranking among the largest in China in terms of cultivation scale. These industries have directly contributed to increasing incomes for more than 6 million farmers.

Participating enterprises from Guizhou have established a full–chain quality traceability system – from field to table – supported by certifications such as Green Food, Organic Product, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Rainforest Alliance.

At the exhibition, Guizhou's green agricultural products, such as Duyun Maojian and Guiding Yunwu Gongcha teas by Guizhou Yixin Yuan Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd., the “Plateau Red” series of chili products by Guizhou Guisanhong Food Co., Ltd., and organic roxburgh rose juice by Guizhou Yangtai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., left a deep impression on attendees with their high quality, showcasing the high standards of Chinese agricultural products.

As a pivotal node in China's New International Land–Sea Trade Corridor, Guizhou has enhanced its port functions and innovated customs clearance models, establishing a modern circulation system described as “Guizhou base – Dubai hub – global table.”

Inter–modal transport channels, including the China–Europe Railway Express, the China–Laos Railway, and South Asia shipping routes, have integrated the province's green agricultural products into the global market.

HOHHOT, China, Nov. 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Building on the robust performance reflected in its interim results, Yili Group has delivered another impressive set of results. On October 30, 2025, Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (SHA: 600887) released its third–quarter report for 2025. For the first nine months of the year, the company achieved dual growth in both revenue and net profit: total revenue reached 90.564 billion yuan, up 1.71% year–over–year, while its adjusted net profit attributable to owners of the parent surpassed 10 billion yuan for the first time, reaching a record high of 10.103 billion yuan – an 18.73% year–over–year increase – demonstrating sustained improvement in the profitability of its core businesses.

Across all product categories, Yili maintained its leadership position during the reporting period. Its foundational liquid milk business remained the undisputed market leader, further widening its scale advantage. Premium brands such as Satine and AMBPOMIAL continued to drive high–quality growth, with both revenue and market share in the chilled plain milk segment increasing.

Yili's second growth engine showed strong momentum. Following its historic achievement in the first half of the year – becoming China's top–selling infant formula brand and securing the “grand slam” across all formula categories – the company's infant nutrition business has continued to strengthen, further expanding its market share. In the first three quarters, revenue from milk powders and related dairy products reached 24.261 billion yuan, a new record high, up 13.74% year–over–year. Yili's overall infant formula sales volume remained number one in the Chinese market, solidifying its industry–leading position.

The ice cream segment also delivered strong results, generating 9.428 billion yuan in revenue during the period, a 13% year–over–year increase, marking its 30th consecutive year as China's market leader. Notably, the “Fresh Milk Mung Bean Ice Cream,” co–developed by Yili and Sam's Club, became a summer blockbuster, topping Sam's frozen dessert category and earning the nickname “King of Beans.”

Meanwhile, Yili accelerated its global expansion. Following the successful launches of Jinlingguan and Cremo in Hong Kong SAR and Saudi Arabia, the Satine brand entered the Singapore market in September, quickly gaining consumer favor with its premium “organic and healthy” positioning. During the reporting period, overseas operations performed exceptionally well, with core categories such as ice cream and infant goat milk formula achieving high–growth trajectories, serving as key drivers of Yili's global business expansion.

Beyond exporting products, Yili is also sharing Chinese dairy innovation with the world, paving new pathways for global dairy development.

On October 22, Yili won two International Dairy Federation (IDF) Dairy Innovation Awards, making it the most awarded dairy company worldwide and the only Chinese dairy company to receive honors this year. Its bone–health–focused Xinhuo Bone Energy Formula Milk Powder, co–developed with Beijing Tongrentang, was recognized with the “Dairy Product Innovation Award in Human Nutrition.” The product addresses key health concerns related to bone, joint, and muscle wellness among Chinese consumers through a unique blend of “traditional Chinese dietary wellness” and “precision nutrition,” earning international acclaim. Additionally, AMBPOMIAL's limited–edition eco–friendly packaging under the “For a Bluer Ocean” initiative received the “Innovation in Packaging and Transparency for Dairy Products,” offering the industry a systematic solution for sustainable packaging.

African Media Delegation Visit Beijing and Tianjin: Witnessing Chinese Modernization in Action

BEIJING, Oct. 29, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The 2025 African Media Tour in China, organized by Global Times Online (huanqiu.com), brought 12 African journalists and opinion leaders to Beijing and Tianjin from October 20–24. The delegates, representing 10 countries including Burundi, Republic of Congo, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, explored Chinese modernization through its approaches to cultural heritage, rural revitalization, and urban renewal.

Technology and Urban Renewal: A Practical Answer to High–Quality Development
At Beijing’s Daji Alley, delegates saw how heritage buildings had been sensitively integrated into modern commercial developments, offering a model for urban renewal. At the Daxing International Aviation Community project, they were impressed by modular construction that can build “a wall in just 12 minutes.” Chadrack from Burundi noted that such efficient, green construction methods could inform housing development in Africa. In Tianjin’s Tanggu Bay “Smart Micro–City”, the group explored China’s approach to industry–city integration and sustainable urban living, and learned how Chinese–developed tunnel boring machines are driving the frontier of innovation at China Railway Engineering Equipment Group.

“I hope we can collaborate on documentaries to show China’s strengths in technology and infrastructure,” said Mavara of Namibia’s Daily News.

Rural Revitalization: Tradition Meets Innovation
In Tangdazhuang Village, Tongzhou District, the group learned how the opening of Universal Beijing Resort has spurred the growth of local homestays, with village incomes rising nearly 50 percent year–on–year. Nicola from Zimbabwe praised the local government’s creative measures to unlock rural potential. At a poverty–reduction forum at Nankai University, delegates noted that China’s “infrastructure + internet + market” approach could provide useful lessons for development efforts in Africa.

Cultural Heritage: A Path Toward Mutual Learning
From the Palace Museum to Tianjin’s Wudadao and Ancient Culture Street, delegates tried hawthorn candy making and watched clay figurine and Yangliuqing woodblock–printing demonstrations, experiencing China’s intangible cultural heritage firsthand. They also praised interactive exhibits at the China National Geographic Exploration Center, noting that technology can make traditional knowledge more accessible and engaging.

In five days, the delegation moved from cities to villages and from innovation to tradition, gaining a clear, practical picture of contemporary China. “I’ll bring these stories and lessons back to Africa so more people can learn from what I saw,” said Somali journalist Mohamedkafi.

Oct. 22, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —

Indonesia’s Legacy in the Global Vaccine Landscape, Bio Farma and DCVMN Strengthen Health Resilience Through Global Partnership

BANDUNG, Indonesia, Oct. 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Through PT Bio Farma (Persero), Indonesia has played a strategic and sustained role in the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers’ Network (DCVMN), working to ensure equitable access to safe, high–quality, and affordable vaccines. Since DCVMN’s founding in 2000, Bio Farma has been a key driver in advancing vaccine self–reliance and public health capacity in developing countries.

Collaboration between Bio Farma and DCVMN has been established since the inception of the network. At the first DCVMN Annual General Meeting in Noordwijk in 2000, Bio Farma was one of ten founding members dedicated to advancing vaccine collaboration. In April 2001, Bio Farma in Bandung hosted the 2nd AGM, where the network formalized the DCVMN’s structure and governance. Chaired by then–President Director Thamrin Poeloengan, this meeting established Indonesia as a hub for vaccine collaboration and knowledge–sharing among developing countries.

Shadiq Akasya, current President Director of Bio Farma, stated that the company’s participation in DCVMN reflects Indonesia’s commitment to contributing to global health beyond national interests.

“Bio Farma’s involvement in DCVMN since its establishment is not merely about representation, but about making a tangible contribution toward global vaccine self–reliance. Through collaboration and innovation, we are committed to delivering equitable and sustainable health solutions for all,” said Shadiq.

“We believe that the true strength of the developing countries’ vaccine industry lies in collaboration. Through our active role in DCVMN, we aim to ensure that every nation has access to safe, high–quality, and affordable vaccines, a real manifestation of Indonesia’s contribution to global health security,” he added.

In 2004, Bio Farma, together with other DCVMN members, played a vital role in expanding access to the pentavalent (DPT–HepB–Hib) vaccine through a technology–transfer collaboration with the Netherlands Vaccine Institute. This achievement demonstrated that Bio Farma’s contributions within the DCVMN network are not symbolic but deeply technical and practical.

Global trust in Bio Farma has continued to grow. In 2012, Indonesia once again hosted the 13th DCVMN AGM in Bali. Mahendra Suhardono, one of Bio Farma’s directors at the time, was elected President of the Executive Committee for the 2013 – 2014 term.

Indonesia’s leadership was further recognized when Bio Farma was entrusted to serve as Chair of the Board of DCVMN for the 2023–2025 period, acting as a bridge between network members and global strategic priorities, while showcasing Indonesia’s capacity to lead the vaccine industry in developing countries.

Bio Farma’s commitment to innovation goes far beyond collaboration. In 2020, its nOPV2 vaccine became the first to receive an Emergency Use Listing from the World Health Organization, enabling faster deployment of vaccines during global health emergencies. This achievement reflected not only Bio Farma’s scientific and technical excellence but also effective coordination and communication among multiple international stakeholders, including funders, scientists, academic researchers, policymakers, global vaccine advocates, and vaccine manufacturers. Such collaboration enabled the rapid development, approval, and rollout of nOPV2 during a critical moment for global public health.

This milestone demonstrated that a developing–country manufacturer can achieve world–class innovation, meeting the highest international standards of safety, quality, and efficacy recognized by the WHO. Beyond being a scientific breakthrough, nOPV2 represents technological self–reliance and global confidence in Indonesia’s capability to contribute meaningfully to international health security. Bio Farma’s success serves as an inspiration to all DCVMN members to continue strengthening their research, development, and production capacity in pursuit of achieving vaccine self–sufficiency and global health resilience across developing countries.

With a production capacity of more than 3.5 billion doses per year, Bio Farma supplies vaccines to over 150 countries and holds WHO Prequalification certification for 12 types of vaccines. As the Center of Excellence for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in vaccine development, production, and distribution, Bio Farma continues to strengthen Indonesia’s strategic role in the global health landscape.

The upcoming 26th DCVMN Annual General Meeting, to be held in Bali on 29–31 October 2025, marks an important moment for Indonesia to reaffirm its leadership in global health diplomacy. Through this forum, Bio Farma is committed to advancing innovation, collaboration, and vaccine self–reliance worldwide, toward a more resilient and equitable global health ecosystem.

JINCHENG, China, Oct. 17, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — During the National Day and Mid–Autumn Festival holiday in early October, Jincheng city took its ancient villages and castles as core carriers to activate cultural tourism consumption through multidimensional innovations. Jincheng Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism noted that the innovations included immersive “red tourism” experiences, an array of all–age festive events, the living preservation of intangible cultural heritage, and digital technology–enhanced museum exhibitions. These initiatives have not only enriched the holiday tourism market but also reflect Jincheng's continuing efforts to advance its wellness tourism industry through a culture–tourism synergy, where culture shapes tourism experiences and tourism promotes cultural vitality.

Jincheng explores a new model for wellness tourism through ancient village revitalization.

A Media Snippet accompanying this announcement is available by clicking on this link.

Jincheng Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism stated that in recent years, building on its profound historical legacy and unique ancient village resources, Jincheng has steadily upgraded rural villages into scenic zones. So far, 18 villages across the city have been upgraded to A–level scenic areas, forming a series of distinctive destinations that blend cultural charm, local vitality, and wellness functions.

Taking the “Huangcheng Five Villages” in Beiliu Town as an example, the integration of core resources such as Royal Prime Minister's Palace and Guoyu Ancient City has created a diversified industrial system. This system encompasses 5A and 4A–level scenic spots, high–end hotels, boutique inns, and the Taiyue Spirit Practice Center, generating employment for over 3,000 local residents. This initiative has fostered a virtuous interaction between cultural preservation, industrial revitalization, and people's income growth. Yuchi Village in Qinshui County, capitalizing on the cultural brand of writer Zhao Shuli and its ecological advantages, has developed into a wellness–themed village that combines cultural experiences with health preservation. Lianghu Village in Gaoping City, with its well–preserved Ming and Qing–era ancient architecture and intangible cultural heritage, promotes the deep integration of “ancient villages+wellness+experiential learning.” Suzhuang Village, building on its identity as the “Town of Weddings,” has revitalized traditional courtyards to create a tourism experience centered on wedding customs, making it a prominent highlight of the “Hundred Villages and Hundred Courtyards” project.

These revitalization efforts not only breathe new life into historical and cultural heritage but also, through differentiated development strategies tailored to each village, establish a new cultural tourism and wellness ecosystem. This ecosystem integrates cultural immersion, ecological leisure, and health preservation, offering an inspiring “Jincheng model” for the sustainable revitalization of traditional villages.
