RICHARDSON, Texas, 10 oct. 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mavenir, le fournisseur de logiciels réseaux qui bâtit l’avenir des réseaux avec des solutions cloud–natives fonctionnant sur tout type de cloud, annonce aujourd’hui que sa technologie avancée d’apprentissage automatique (ML ou machine learning) est utilisée par TPG Telecom pour protéger les utilisateurs de téléphones portables contre le fléau croissant des appels vocaux frauduleux et du spam générés par l’IA. Il en résulte une augmentation de 280 % du nombre d’appels frauduleux bloqués avec succès sur les mobiles des clients de TPG Telecom.

L’opérateur australien bénéficie déjà depuis plusieurs années de la technologie intelligente SpamShield de Mavenir pour la protection des messages SMS. A Mavenir agora está fornecendo sua solução CallShield robusta e em tempo real para proteger os clientes da TPG Telecom nas suas marcas Vodafone, TPG, iiNet e felix contra o incômodo e a ameaça de chamadas de voz automatizadas e deepfake iniciadas por fraudadores.

Nos primeiros seis meses deste ano, a tecnologia CallShield da Mavenir impediu que quase 19 milhões de chamadas móveis fraudulentas chegassem aos clientes da TPG Telecom. Isso equivale a impedir que 103.000 chamadas ilícitas cheguem aos clientes por dia e mais que o triplo das 4,9 milhões de chamadas bloqueadas no primeiro semestre de 2023. Isso representa uns dos maiores números de prevenção de fraudes e chamadas de spam do setor.

A TPG Telecom também usa a plataforma SpamShield da Mavenir para impedir que SMS fraudulentos cheguem aos seus usuários móveis. Nos primeiros seis meses de 2024, a tecnologia da Mavenir impediu que mais de 59,6 milhões de mensagens de texto fraudulentas chegassem aos clientes da TPG Telecom.

Os Provedores de Serviços de Comunicação (CSPs) em todo o mundo estão enfrentando um fluxo em constante evolução de spam não solicitado e tráfego de fraude – tanto em serviços de dados quanto de voz – cada vez mais impulsionado pelas técnicas sofisticadas de IA, dificultando muito a detecção e o controle. Além de resultar em uma experiência ruim para os usuários e perdas significativas de receita para as operadoras, um relatório de 2022 da Comissão Australiana de Concorrência e Consumo destacou que os golpes por telefone custaram aos australianos cerca de A$ 141 milhões de prejuízo. A Autoridade Australiana de Comunicações e Mídia (ACMA), o regulador do sistema de telecomunicações do país, está liderando a ação da indústria para reprimir o spam e as chamadas fraudulentas e garantir que os consumidores estejam adequadamente protegidos – reforçando a conformidade regulatória das operadoras e apoiando a implantação de soluções de segurança eficazes de fornecedores de tecnologia.
